Embedded Systems for Mission-Critical Applications
We design and develop firmware and embedded applications for mission-critical systems operating in regulated environments. We work on microcontrollers and heterogeneous processors, managing concurrency, multithreading, and memory usage to ensure reliability, controllability, and— where required by the application context — deterministic and real-time behavior.
This activity also includes the design of firmware and embedded software for connected field devices, as well as the integration of sensors, actuators, and communication equipment. In addition to software development governed by the regulations of the domains in which we operate (EN 50128/50716, IEC 62061, IEC 60880, IEC 62304, ISO 26262), we manage data acquisition and transmission mechanisms and system-wide validation through simulation and testing environments, with particular attention to safety, reliability, and architectural control. Data processing is designed in a distributed manner, favoring local analysis and selective transmission of information.
