Design and delivery of distance learning courses on Quality Management System issues

SERVICE MERCATO CLIENT ICE - Agency for the promotion abroad and internationalization of Italian companies YEAR 2015-2018

Brief

Develop of a distance learning course consisting of a number of learning objects, with the aim of disseminating quality culture, knowledge of quality system standards and what they mean for a Public Agency, and disseminating the quality management system throughout the organisation, including the international offices.

Project challenge

: to design and development of a course aimed at Italian and international staff located in about 90 countries, contributing to the dissemination of the culture of quality and the sharing and application of the quality management system of the ICE Agency.

Solution

a modular proposal was devised to allow a gradual approach and the correct calibration of the intervention. The suggested approach was to provide independently managed “Quality Pillars” without requiring one module to be a prerequisite for another, enabling learners to start with the module they found most interesting or which met a specific need encountered in the application of the quality system.

 

Execution phases

FASE 1
  • Definition of the contents with the client.
FASE 2
  • Development of content in text format, sequences of animated images or videos.
FASE 3

 

  • Internal analysis of the text and course sequence to verify its consistency, coherence and duration.
FASE 4

 

  • Definition of the graphic style of the user interface (logo, colours, fonts, arrangement of structural elements of the graphical layout, etc.).
FASE 5

 

  • Production of a draft of the script of the course complete with graphics, images/videos and sentences and sent to the client for approval.
FASE 6

 

  • Creation of the audio, recorded in the recording studio by professional speakers.
FASE 7

 

  • Synchronization of audio with pages and animations, development and insertion of learning tests.
FASE 8

 

  • Conduction of the internal inspection test and correction of any anomalies found
FASE 9

 

  • Publication on the client’s portal.
FASE 10

if translations are required:

  1. translation and adaptation of the text, the slide content, the assessment tests and any attachments
  2. recording of the text by a professional native speaker
  3. slide editing
  4. synchronising new audio and editing of attachments
  5. testing
  6. publication on the client’s portal.

 

Achieved results

In Year 2015, design and development of 4 distance learning modules for the ICE Foreign Trade Agency entitled:

  • Introduction to the principles of quality and ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems (QMSs)
  • The Quality Management System (QMS) of the ICE Agency
  • Non-compliance: prevention and management
  • QMS audits.

In Year 2017, review and translation into English of the distance learning modules for the ICE Foreign Trade Agency entitled:

  • Introduction to the principles of quality and ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems (QMSs)
  • The Quality Management System (QMS) of the ICE Agency

In Year 2018, Design and Development of 3 distance learning modules and related translation into English for the ICE Agency with the following titles:

  • Significant developments in the UNI EN ISO 9001:2015 Standard
  • Continuous improvement
  • The QMS for international offices
